Rich is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology, now the College of Science and Engineering, and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
After a career with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Rich worked at the Best Buy corporate campus with information technology infrastructure teams, and then for a regional consulting engineering company.
A private consulting endeavor a couple years back was a time of travel study for the Upper Mississippi Source Water Protection Project.
Professional interests include: Cold Regions Engineering, Scientific Software Development, and Unix and Linux systems engineering and adminstration.
Personal interests: Photography, amateur radio, canoeing, camping and a continuing interest in family genealogy.
